Volkswagen CEO: union's proposals are 'starting point' but far from sufficient

BERLIN (Reuters) - Volkswagen (ETR:VOWG_p ) CEO Oliver Blume on Wednesday called union proposals for cost savings "a starting point" but said they were not sufficient enough to defend the carmaker's future.
