Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Transport and Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Mao Bao Inc (TW:1732 ), which rose 9.95% or 3.05 points to trade at 33.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Universal Inc (TW:1325 ) added 9.87% or 3.45 points to end at 38.40 and Adimmune Corp (TW:4142 ) was up 9.83% or 2.05 points to 22.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lemtech Holdings Co Ltd (TW:4912 ), which fell 9.97% or 17.00 points to trade at 153.50 at the close. Asia Optical Co Inc (TW:3019 ) declined 9.86% or 17.00 points to end at 155.50 and Aurotek Corp (TW:6215 ) was down 9.19% or 9.60 points to 94.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.53% or 0.39 to $74.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.55% or 0.42 to hit $77.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 8.52 to trade at $2,699.32 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.23% to 32.96, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.22% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 109.19.
