Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.21% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL ), which rose 5.03% or 16.40 points to trade at 342.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND ) added 3.94% or 8.60 points to end at 226.70 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb ) was up 3.75% or 3.90 points to 107.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb ), which fell 4.60% or 8.40 points to trade at 173.00 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb ) declined 4.58% or 0.37 points to end at 7.72 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b ) was down 2.19% or 2.60 points to 116.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 462 to 319 and 82 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.38% or 1.66 to $68.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.07% or 1.51 to hit $71.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 1.40 to trade at $2,686.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 11.30, while USD/SEK fell 0.48% to 10.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.34.
