Stock market update: Power stocks mixed as market rises

The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 774.38 points at 80671.72

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading mixed on Friday at 11:10AM

India Power Corporation Ltd.(up 9.98%), Inox Wind Ltd.(up 8.39%), Karma Energy Ltd.(up 4.99%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd.(up 4.97%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd.(up 4.90%), PTC India Ltd.(up 3.77%), Indowind Energy Ltd.(up 3.68%), SJVN Ltd.(up 2.61%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(up 2.58%) and GE T&D India Ltd.(up 1.50%) were among the top gainers.

GE Power India Ltd.(down 8.31%), Energy Development Company Ltd.(down 4.02%), CESC Ltd.(down 1.71%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(down 1.47%), NLC India Ltd.(down 1.43%), RattanIndia Power Ltd.(down 1.15%), Torrent Power Ltd.(down 0.80%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.(down 0.77%), Voltamp Transformers Ltd.(down 0.73%) and Hitachi Energy India Ltd.(down 0.69%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 237.5 points up at 24553.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 774.38 points at 80671.72 at around 11:10AM.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 4.1%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 3.93%), Wipro Ltd.(up 3.58%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 3.25%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.98%), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.86%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.72%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.7%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.92%) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.15%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.38%), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.97%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.85%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.4%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.36%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.35%) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.12%) were trading in the red.
