Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.9%
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.9 per cent down at 1000.95.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.Shares of Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 4.86 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.01 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 3.72 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 3.03 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.6 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.9 per cent down at 1000.95.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 183.46 points at 22704.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 667.55 points at 74502.9.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 ended in the green, while 37 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, NHPC, YES Bank, RattanIndia Power and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Arrow Greentech, Titagarh Wagons, Mazagon Dock Ship, Century Enka and Sumitomo Chemical hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Monte Carlo Fashion, Revathi Equipment, Osia Hyper Retail, Priti International and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week lows.
