Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.53%

On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 4.22 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.66 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 2.24 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.53 per cent down at 932.75.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 152.06 points at 21995.85, while the BSE Sensex stood down 454.69 points at 72488.99.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 8 ended in the green, while 41 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jio Financial Servic, Tata Steel and Motherson Sumi were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of AAA Technologies, Exicom Tele-Systems, NGL Fine Chem, Just Dial and Bhagiradha Chem hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MEP Infrastructure, Ibull Housing Fin(PP), Keerti Knowledge, GIR Natureview and BDR Buildcon hit their fresh 52-week lows.
