Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.42% in a weak market

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.46 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.24 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.42 per cent at 956.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 139.1 points at 22163.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 471.33 points at 72995.06.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, BEL and Manappuram Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Kirloskar Elec, IRIS Business Servic, Ajooni Biotech Ltd., Commercial Engg and Pricol hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shree Vasu Logistics, Best Agrolife, Ibull Housing Fin(PP), Lancor Holdings and Future Supply Chain hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
