Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.14% in an upbeat market

Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) and Swan Energy Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.14 per cent at 961.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.41 points at 22751.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 322.32 points at 75064.82.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Exide Inds., Hind Copper and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Premier Exp, Mindteck India, Puravankara, TPL Plastech and Arvee Laboratories hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SRM Contractors, Keerti Knowledge, Gopal Snacks, ABM International L and 3rd Rock MultiMedia hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
