Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.14%

On the other hand, Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.23 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.14 per cent up at 1127.05.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 112.66 points at 24433.2, while the BSE Sensex stood up 391.26 points at 80351.64.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 ended in the green, while 17 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Rail Vikas Nigam, Indian Railway Fin and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Sharda Motor, Bombay Burmah, Kellton Tech, RPP Infra Proj and D-Link(India)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Filatex Fashions, Vraj Iron & Steel, IRIS Clothings, MEP Infrastructure and Praxis Home Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows.
