Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.01%
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.01 per cent up at 949.35.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.Shares of Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 4.53 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 3.68 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 3.42 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.85 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, DLF Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.6 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.36 per cent) and Swan Energy Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.01 per cent up at 949.35.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 8.71 points at 22453.3, while the BSE Sensex stood down 110.64 points at 73903.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, NHPC and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Meghmani Finechem, Thejo Engg, Aditya Birla Cap., Nila Spaces L and Sadbhav Eng hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mask Investments, Onelife Capital, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon and IndInfravit Trust hit their fresh 52-week lows.
