Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.89%
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.89 per cent up at 965.75.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.83 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.82 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.8 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.24 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Swan Energy Ltd.(down 1.04 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.89 per cent up at 965.75.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 34.41 points at 22402.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 114.49 points at 73852.94.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, YES Bank, NMDC Steel and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Raj Oil Mills, Steel City Securitie, Chennai Petro, Yuken India and Aegis Logistics hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Atal Realtech, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon, IndInfravit Trust and Ahimsa Industries L hit their fresh 52-week lows.
