Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.83% in an upbeat market

Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.36 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.83 per cent at 1129.25 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 50.7 points at 23449.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 118.96 points at 76929.86.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, Shree Ren Sug, Suzlon Energy and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of DRC Systems India, Paras Defence, Indian Hume Pipe, PTC Industries and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Premier Ltd, IndInfravit Trust, 3rd Rock MultiMedia, GIR Natureview and Keerti Knowledge hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
