Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.53% in a weak market

Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 3.29 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 3.12 per cent) and Swan Energy Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.53 per cent at 879.15 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 52.5 points at 22044.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 241.06 points at 72590.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Tata Steel and Indus Towers were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Onelife Capital, Deep Industries, Time Technoplast, R K Swamy and Apar Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Compuage Infocom, SCI Land and Assets, Infomedia Press, Penta Gold and Medico Remedies hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
