Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.44% in an upbeat market

Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.44 per cent at 1023.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 63.5 points at 22661.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 246.58 points at 74467.64.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, Rail Vikas Nigam, NHPC and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of GRSE, Excel Realty N Infra, Cochin Shipyard, Rail Vikas Nigam and PG Electroplast hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while United Polyfab Gujar, Brightcom Group, GI Engineering, Visagar Polytex and GSS Infotech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
