Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.14% in an upbeat market

Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.89 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.14 per cent at 827.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 76.4 points at 22074.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 168.04 points at 72929.93.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NHPC, Indian Railway Fin and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Somi Conveyor, Diamond Power, Modern Threads(India)Ltd., Tarapur Trans and Bharat Highways InvI hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SITI Networks, Shyam Telecom, Sanco Industries, Osia Hyper Retail and Mukka Proteins hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
