Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.86%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.86 per cent down at 18846.3.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.Shares of Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Lupin Ltd.(down 4.12 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 3.91 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 3.61 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 3.34 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(down 3.28 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.86 per cent down at 18846.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 140.21 points at 22302.5, while the BSE Sensex stood down 383.69 points at 73511.85.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 ended in the green, while 35 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, PNB and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Selan Expl Tech, Allsec Tech, Arvind Ltd, Godrej Consumer and Century Enka hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Signpost India, Atal Realtech, Future Supply Chain, Best Agrolife and Authum Investment hit their fresh 52-week lows.
