Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.06% in a weak market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.06 per cent down at 18329.25.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:49AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 0.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 2.68 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 2.14 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.06 per cent at 18329.25 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 129.35 points at 21866.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 398.2 points at 72090.79.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 9 were trading in the green, while 41 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indus Towers, Tata Steel and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Eldeco Housing, Par Drugs & Chemical, KM Sugar Mills, Sri Adhikari and Bajel Projects hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Lakshmi Precis, MEP Infrastructure, Ibull Housing Fin(PP), Sumeet Ind and Bata India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
