Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.63%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.63 per cent down at 20325.8.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Monday.Shares of Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 3.13 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 2.47 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 0.5 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(up 0.36 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.58 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 3.54 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 2.34 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.63 per cent down at 20325.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 3.3 points at 24320.55, while the BSE Sensex stood down 36.22 points at 79960.38.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, Rail Vikas Nigam and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Alphageo , Shreyans Ind, Kriti Nutrients, Rail Vikas Nigam and Rashtriya Chemicals hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while CMI Ltd, Brightcom Group, Filatex Fashions, Sarthak Metals and Praxis Home Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows.
