Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.41% in an upbeat market

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.41 per cent at 19073.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.6 points at 22441.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 71.57 points at 73948.39.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, PNB and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of KEC Int., The Anup Engg, GE Power India, SRM Contractors and Reliance Infra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shree Vasu Logistics, Naga Dhunseri Group, DCM Financial, 3rd Rock MultiMedia and Mask Investments hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
