Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.12%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.12 per cent down at 19185.15.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.Shares of Sanofi India Ltd.(up 3.35 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 2.47 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 1.75 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Pfizer Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) and Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.12 per cent down at 19185.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 8.71 points at 22453.3, while the BSE Sensex stood down 110.64 points at 73903.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, NHPC and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Meghmani Finechem, Thejo Engg, Aditya Birla Cap., Nila Spaces L and Sadbhav Eng hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mask Investments, Onelife Capital, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon and IndInfravit Trust hit their fresh 52-week lows.
