The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.08 per cent down at 18981.6.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Friday.Shares of Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 4.21 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 3.21 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.08 per cent down at 18981.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 62.25 points at 22466.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 253.31 points at 73917.03.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, YES Bank, BEL and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of MOIL, ISMT Ltd, Indian Hume Pipe, Crompton Greaves and Mazagon Dock Ship hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Brightcom Group, SecUR Credentials, Filatex Fash, IRB InvIT Fund and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
