Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 1.02% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.02 per cent up at 20822.85.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:34AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 4.01 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 3.47 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent) and Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 1.62 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent) and Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 1.02 per cent at 20822.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 63.0 points at 24565.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 142.95 points at 80662.29.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IFCI, IRFC, YES Bank and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kellton Tech, Cambridge Tech, IFCI, Mukka Proteins and Godfrey Philips hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while CMI Ltd, Brightcom Group, SecUR Credentials, Sanco Industries and Infomedia Press hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
