Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.55%

On the other hand, Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.96 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.4 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.55 per cent up at 19321.35.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 183.46 points at 22704.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 667.55 points at 74502.9.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 ended in the green, while 37 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, NHPC, YES Bank, RattanIndia Power and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Arrow Greentech, Titagarh Wagons, Mazagon Dock Ship, Century Enka and Sumitomo Chemical hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Monte Carlo Fashion, Revathi Equipment, Osia Hyper Retail, Priti International and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week lows.
