Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.16% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.16 per cent up at 19762.5.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 09:59AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 4.27 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 4.08 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.1 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent) and Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 0.69 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 0.5 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.16 per cent at 19762.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 68.75 points at 24079.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 187.3 points at 79220.03.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Renewable, RattanIndia Power and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of GRP Ltd, Roto Pumps, Wockhardt, Atul Auto and Emami hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ortel Communications, Akme Fintrade(India, Reliance Home Fin, Integra Garment and Paras Petrofils hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
