Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.09% in an upbeat market

Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.09 per cent at 20862.7 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 50.85 points at 24637.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 162.21 points at 80827.07.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRB Infra Dev., YES Bank, IRFC and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Keynote Financial, Mukka Proteins, Sportking India, Chennai Petro and MTNL hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), SecUR Credentials, M M Forgings and Landmark Cars hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
