Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.45% in a weak market
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.45 per cent down at 33322.15.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 10:44AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.were among the top gainers.
HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.45 per cent at 33322.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 104.05 points at 22198.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 402.94 points at 73108.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, REC and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Transwarr Fin, Gokul Agro Resources, IRIS Business Servic, CarTrade Tech and Ajooni Biotech Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Medico Remedies, Gloster, Filatex Fash, Twentyfirst Cent and Silly Monks Entertai hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
