Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 1.21% in an upbeat market
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.21 per cent up at 33306.55.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.0 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 1.6 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.
L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent) and Coforge Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 1.21 per cent at 33306.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 27.55 points at 22448.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 130.6 points at 74008.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, PNB and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of The Anup Engg, Ganges Securities, Gokul Agro Resources, Rane(Madras)and Rainbow Childrens hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Signpost India, Stampede Cap, JNK India, Ibull Housing Fin(PP)and Mittal Life Style hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
