Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.19% in an upbeat market

L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 1.7 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.62 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was up 0.19 per cent at 33505.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 11.5 points at 22413.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 81.5 points at 73934.44.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Kotak Bank, Indian Railway Fin and South Indian Bnk were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Raj Oil Mills, Shradha Infraproject, GRSE, Cochin Shipyard and Century Texttiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Kotak Bank, Atal Realtech, Visagar Polytex, GI Engineering and Stampede Cap hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
