Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.57% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.57 per cent down at 46711.3.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:19AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Federal Bank Ltd.(down 3.2 per cent), Bank of Baroda(down 1.61 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.58 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.92 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.57 per cent at 46711.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 13.15 points at 22010.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 12.34 points at 72774.23.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NHPC, Indian Railway Fin and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Somi Conveyor, Diamond Power, Modern Threads(India)Ltd., Tarapur Trans and Bharat Highways InvI hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shyam Telecom, Sanco Industries, Latteys Industries, Peria Karamalai Tea and Akshar Spintex hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
