Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.64% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.64 per cent up at 52605.9.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:20AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.84 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 1.62 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.89 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Punjab National Bank(down 0.4 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.38 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.64 per cent at 52605.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 204.75 points at 24520.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 610.0 points at 80507.34.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Renewable, IRFC, YES Bank and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of AMJ Land Holdings, HPL Electric Power, Essar Shipping, Railtel Corp and Career Point hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SecUR Credentials, JP Associates, Praxis Home Retail, Shyam Telecom and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
