Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.47% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.47 per cent up at 48810.9.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:29AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.Federal Bank Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.0 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.68 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.47 per cent at 48810.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 72.55 points at 22738.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 279.52 points at 75022.02.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Exide Inds., Hind Copper and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Premier Exp, Mindteck India, TPL Plastech, Puravankara and Arvee Laboratories hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SRM Contractors, Gopal Snacks, Keerti Knowledge, Williamson Magor and ABM International L hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
