Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.13% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.13 per cent up at 49960.9.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:44AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.7 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.47 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.44 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.29 per cent) and IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent), Bank of Baroda(down 0.18 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 0.07 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.13 per cent at 49960.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 69.5 points at 23392.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 223.55 points at 76830.12.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, YES Bank, Hind Const Co and IRB Infra Dev. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of DRC Systems India, Bharat Rasayan, Dilip Buildcon, Honda Siel Power and Zenith Exports hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Borosil Scientific, Supreme Infra, GIR Natureview, IndInfravit Trust and 3rd Rock MultiMedia hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
