Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.08% in an upbeat market

Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 5.93 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.87 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.39 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was up 0.08 per cent at 48530.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 108.1 points at 22621.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 370.4 points at 74618.62.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRB Infra Dev., YES Bank, Bandhan Bank and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Arvee Laboratories, Ind Swift Ltd, Sundaram Finance, Abans Holdings and Cinevista Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Blue Coast Hotel, Regency Ceramic, Peria Karamalai Tea and SS Infrastructure hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
