Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.03%
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.03 per cent up at 53103.7.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index closed on a positive note on Thursday.Shares of ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.86 per cent) and IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.36 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 2.35 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(down 0.1 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.03 per cent up at 53103.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 15.66 points at 24302.15, while the BSE Sensex stood up 62.87 points at 80049.67.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 28 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NBCC , HUDCO and Inox Wind Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Mangalam Global Ent, IFB Agro, Country Club, Mazagon Dock Ship and MBL Infra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Filatex Fashions, Future Supply Chain, IndInfravit Trust, Ahimsa Ind and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
