Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 1.01% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.01 per cent up at 25516.35.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:34AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 4.72 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) and Apollo Tyres Ltd.(up 0.9 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.11 per cent) and Exide Industries Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 1.01 per cent at 25516.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 34.25 points at 24354.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 167.6 points at 80127.98.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, Rail Vikas Nigam and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kellton Tech, Harrisons Malayalam, Bombay Burmah, LT Foods and Kaushalya Infra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while JP Associates, Vraj Iron & Steel, MEP Infrastructure, Zenith Exports and Praxis Home Retail hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
