Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 10:50AM

Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(up 0.10%) and Pokarna Ltd.(up 0.02%) were among the top gainers.

Oriental Trimex Ltd.(down 4.75%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(down 2.27%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 2.24%), KIOCL Ltd.(down 1.85%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(down 1.57%), MOIL Ltd.(down 1.44%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(down 1.38%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(down 1.15%), 20 Microns Ltd.(down 0.97%) and Coal India Ltd.(down 0.63%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 47.25 points down at 21903.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 63.13 points at 72241.75 at around 10:50AM.

Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.14%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.97%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.91%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.67%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.59%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.35%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.31%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.28%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 0.27%) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.22%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.33%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 2.15%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.06%), UPL Ltd.(down 1.39%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.35%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.19%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.1%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.06%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.04%) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.98%) were trading in the red.
