Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG ), which rose 4.84% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (BME:AENA ) added 1.78% or 3.60 points to end at 205.80 and Endesa SA (BME:ELE ) was up 1.76% or 0.34 points to 19.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS ), which fell 3.51% or 0.40 points to trade at 11.00 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS ) declined 2.09% or 0.47 points to end at 22.06 and Repsol (BME:REP ) was down 1.93% or 0.23 points to 11.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 110 to 76 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aena SME SA (BME:AENA ) rose to all time highs; up 1.78% or 3.60 to 205.80.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.70% or 18.55 to $2,684.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.89% or 3.61 to hit $70.22 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.71% or 3.65 to trade at $73.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.28% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.96.
