Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.59% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Enagas (BME:ENAG ), which rose 2.79% or 0.33 points to trade at 12.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (BME:AENA ) added 2.19% or 4.30 points to end at 200.20 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI ) was up 2.08% or 0.50 points to 24.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Merlin Properties SA (BME:MRL ), which fell 1.10% or 0.12 points to trade at 10.78 at the close. Unicaja Banco SA (BME:UNI ) declined 0.53% or 0.01 points to end at 1.31 and Logista (BME:LOG ) was down 0.34% or 0.10 points to 29.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 133 to 62 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.17% or 4.59 to $2,755.49 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.22% or 0.17 to hit $77.68 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.10% or 0.08 to trade at $81.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 109.12.
