Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.28%

Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Consumer Services and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.28%.

The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Caixabank SA (BME:CABK ), which rose 2.51% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE ) added 2.39% or 0.04 points to end at 1.84 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI ) was up 2.36% or 0.54 points to 23.38 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ferrovial (BME:FER ), which fell 4.45% or 1.70 points to trade at 36.54 at the close. SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS ) declined 1.94% or 0.24 points to end at 12.16 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE ) was down 1.27% or 0.26 points to 20.26.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 121 to 64 and 28 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 7.30 to $2,671.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.60% or 1.18 to hit $74.89 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 1.08 to trade at $78.70 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 102.38.
