Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 40.09 crore), JP Associates(number of shares traded: 16.11 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 15.17 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 14.38 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 4.66 crore), Zee Ent.(number of shares traded: 2.83 crore), Jio Financial Servic(number of shares traded: 2.63 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.52 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 2.29 crore) and Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 2.21 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:39AM in Thursday's session.The NSE Nifty index was trading 54.36 points down at 21896.8, while BSE Sensex was down 89.96 points at 72214.92 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.15 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.90 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.88 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.15 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.97 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.79 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.52 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
