Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume
The NSE Nifty index closed 19.5 points up at 22493.55
NEW DELHI: Infibeam Avenues(numbers of share traded: 18.49 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 18.40 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 17.92 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 17.23 crore), Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 12.48 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 9.89 crore), SBFC Finance(numbers of share traded: 7.83 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 6.93 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 5.96 crore) and Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.83 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.The NSE Nifty index closed 19.5 points up at 22493.55, while BSE Sensex ended up 33.4 points at 74119.39.
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.71 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.14 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
