Q4 results today: LIC, NMDC among 236 companies to announce earnings on Monday

236 companies, including LIC and NMDC, to announce Q4 results. LIC reported a 49% rise in Q3 earnings, while NMDC saw a 62% increase in consolidated net profit.

As many as 236 will announce their fourth-quarter on Monday with some important names in the mix including , , , and .

Other companies which will also announce their results include , , , AstraZeneca Pharma India, Juniper Hotel, Kirloskar Industries, Dish TV India, , Vishnu Prakash R Punglia, , Motisons Jewellers and many more.

LIC Q3 earnings

State-owned Life Insurance Corp (LIC) reported a standalone net of Rs 9,444 crore for the ended December 2023. The profit was up 49% from Rs 6,334 crore posted in the same quarter of 2022.

The net premium for the third quarter rose 5% year-on-year to Rs 1.17 lakh crore, compared with Rs 1.11 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

In terms of measured by first-year premium income, LIC continues to be the leader in the Indian life insurance business with an overall market share of 58.90%.

The solvency ratio during the third quarter improved to 1.93%, as against 1.9% in the preceding September quarter and 1.85% a year earlier.

The yield on investments in policyholders' funds (with unrealised gains) stood at 21.24% in the October-December 2023 period.

The assets under management () increased to Rs 49.66 lakh crore as of December 2023, compared to Rs 44.34 lakh crore as of December 2022, registering an increase of 12% year-on-year.

NMDC Q3 earnings

State-owned NMDC posted a 62% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,469.73 crore in the December quarter, pushed by higher income. It had clocked a net profit of Rs 903.89 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's total income surged to Rs 5,746 crore in Q3 FY24 over Rs 3,925 crore a year ago.

NMDC's expenses stood at Rs 3,517 crore in the third quarter of FY24 as against Rs 2,693 crore a year ago.
