DMart Q4 Expectations

Leading retail chain Avenue Supermart, which owns and operates DMart, is expected to put up a solid show in the fourth quarter ended March 2024. The company will release its quarterly numbers on Saturday.

Net profit for the January-March 2024 period is seen growing 23% year-on-year, according to an average estimate of four brokerages. Meanwhile, revenue for the same period is likely to jump 20% year-on-year.

The revenue growth will be led by strong store expansion and single digit SSSG. DMart added 24 stores in the March quarter, which was higher than expected.

"We expect consolidated GM of 14.1% (up 10 bps year-on-year) and EBITDA margin of 7.3%. We bake in some recovery in sales of GM&A. Gross margin is down 80 bps QoQ due to unfavorable seasonality," said Kotak Equities.

Kotak Mahindra Bank Q4 Expectations

Leading private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank is likely to report a decline in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 2024. However, loan growth is likely to be steady and asset quality is expected to be in control.

Profit for the fourth quarter is seen falling around 3% year-on-year, according to an average estimate of four brokerages. Meanwhile, net interest income for the same period is expected to grow 10% year-on-year.

Key monitorables for investors in the Q4 earnings chart include commentary on NIMs (net interest margins) and growth outlook, especially the growth trajectory in the unsecured book.

"Business growth momentum is expected to remain healthy. Growth in the unsecured portfolio is likely to continue. Margin contraction likely to be visible," said Axis Securities.
