Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities , Telecoms and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.83% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT ), which rose 1.91% or 0.31 points to trade at 16.50 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) added 1.82% or 0.28 points to end at 15.66 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT ) was up 1.74% or 0.15 points to 8.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP ), which fell 0.77% or 0.14 points to trade at 17.33 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA ) declined 0.45% or 0.04 points to end at 8.90 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ) was 0.08% or 0.00 points to 2.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ) unchanged to 52-week lows; unchanged 0.08% or 0.00 to 2.50.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.82% or 0.58 to $71.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.20% or 0.81 to hit $68.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 5.40 to trade at $2,530.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.03% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 101.51.
