Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ), which rose 3.67% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT ) added 2.11% or 0.36 points to end at 17.44 and Semapa (ELI:SEM ) was up 1.92% or 0.28 points to 14.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT ), which fell 0.47% or 0.02 points to trade at 4.22 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS ) declined 0.28% or 0.02 points to end at 7.22 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS ) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 5.18.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.52% or 0.40 to $76.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.26% or 0.19 to hit $73.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 1.50 to trade at $2,633.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 102.59.
