Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology , Energy and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN ), which rose 2.75% or 1.57 points to trade at 58.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW ) added 2.12% or 0.55 points to end at 26.55 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP ) was up 1.88% or 0.38 points to 20.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:ENAE ), which fell 3.04% or 0.35 points to trade at 11.15 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR ) declined 2.65% or 0.26 points to end at 9.38 and Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP ) was down 2.49% or 0.50 points to 19.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 295 to 199 and 114 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.73% or 0.51 to $70.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.47 to hit $74.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.77% or 20.70 to trade at $2,669.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.23% to 4.29, while USD/PLN rose 0.43% to 3.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 101.33.
