Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.20%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media , Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.20%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS ), which rose 4.69% or 4.50 points to trade at 100.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO ) added 2.69% or 6.80 points to end at 259.70 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM ) was up 2.39% or 13.00 points to 558.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY ), which fell 2.01% or 1.38 points to trade at 67.32 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL ) declined 1.76% or 2.40 points to end at 133.60 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD ) was down 1.57% or 1.56 points to 97.64.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 149 to 119 and 35 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.82% or 2.68 to $72.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.45% or 2.55 to hit $76.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 1.75 to trade at $2,671.45 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.28% to 11.71, while USD/NOK rose 0.62% to 10.63.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 101.79.
