Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology , Telecoms and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.73% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI ), which rose 3.27% or 3.60 points to trade at 113.80 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML ) added 2.76% or 21.30 points to end at 792.00 and ASM International NV (AS:ASMI ) was up 2.40% or 13.80 points to 589.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD ), which fell 3.50% or 1.09 points to trade at 30.07 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT ) declined 0.71% or 0.16 points to end at 22.52 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO ) was down 0.41% or 0.26 points to 63.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 59 to 40 and 11 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.37% or 1.79 to $73.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.21% or 1.75 to hit $77.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 12.60 to trade at $2,663.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 103.04.
