Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.44%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms , Forestry & Paper and Beverage sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.44% to hit a new 5-year high.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Itissalat Al-Maghrib (CSE:IAM ), which rose 3.59% or 3.25 points to trade at 93.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA ) added 3.33% or 0.50 points to end at 15.50 and Wafa Assurance (CSE:WAA ) was up 2.38% or 100.00 points to 4,300.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM ), which fell 6.33% or 30.90 points to trade at 457.10 at the close. S2M (CSE:S2M ) declined 6.21% or 15.90 points to end at 240.00 and Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS ) was down 2.21% or 0.87 points to 38.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 22 and 4 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.08% or 0.06 to $71.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $74.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 26.50 to trade at $2,641.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.12% to 10.82, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.05% to 9.70.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 100.68.
