Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB ), which rose 5.78% or 1.22 points to trade at 22.34 at the close. Meanwhile, GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC ) added 3.65% or 5.59 points to end at 158.94 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO ) was up 2.60% or 0.23 points to 9.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES ), which fell 5.90% or 17.61 points to trade at 280.93 at the close. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q ) declined 5.40% or 8.93 points to end at 156.50 and Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (BMV:BOLSAA ) was down 2.89% or 0.95 points to 31.92.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 138 to 86 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.78% or 1.22 to 22.34.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.16% or 4.40 to $2,681.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.40% or 1.72 to hit $69.84 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.18% or 0.13 to trade at $73.19 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.10% to 19.64, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.02% to 21.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 100.64.
